Lambourne Partners’ Annual Charity Golf Day brings together professionals, corporates, and all types of businesses from around Newcastle and the Hunter Valley region for a friendly game of golf. The event has raised over $120,000 for local charities since it began in 2011.
All proceeds this year will go to RUN DIPG. You may know the local story behind RUN DIPG of the Newcastle family of Associate Professor Matt Dun, his wife Dr Phoebe Hindley (Dun), and the loss of their daughter Josie to brain cancer.
RUNDIPG is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and families impacted by the deadliest form of childhood brain cancer – diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), also known as diffuse midline glioma (DMG). It is their mission to raise awareness of this devastating condition, for which there are no treatments – DIPG/DMG is universally fatal.
The funds raised from our golf day will go towards improving the outcomes for patients and families impacted by DIPG/DMG and help RUN DIPG continue moving towards a cure.
