Lambourne Partners has announced the appointment of Gemma Williams and Tony Carter as Associate Partners.
The Hamilton based specialist accounting, business advisory, wealth management team has promoted the pair from within the business.
Chad Stead who is a Partner of Lambourne Partners said that both qualified Chartered Accountants were highly experienced and had progressed through the organisation because of their outstanding commitment to client outcomes.
Gemma Williams began her commercial accounting career about 15 years ago, working in locally owned small business before moving into a position with a multi-national construction company. With her roots firmly placed in small local business, Gemma is passionate about the role that accounting firms have in supporting local business as part of the region’s economic and cultural landscape. This commitment has propelled her career, professional skills and progression through the organisation. Gemma’s skills and experience extend well beyond the traditional areas of taxation and include self-managed superannuation funds and business advisory services including business structures, budgeting, forecast management and strategic planning. She specialises in working with clients to ensure that they have logical and ‘clever’ solutions for day to day operations while keeping an eye on the future by having strategies that support the business to be agile and diversified when needed. She is also passionate about women in business and is a regular contributor to local women’s networking events, local International Women’s Day events and writes professional educational blog pieces targeted to women managing businesses.
With a desire to give clients clarity and certainty, Tony Carter leverages his technical accounting expertise and business advisory skills to guide clients through complex business situations. Tony has been with Lambourne Partners since 2010, starting part way through his university studies, and achieved his Chartered Accountant qualification in 2015. Over that time, Tony has worked in audit, superannuation, tax and business advisory roles and specialises in working directly with business owners to identify expansion, strengthening internal controls, establishing new operating systems or identifying the right IT solutions. This work logically led Tony into business valuation where he works closely with people who find themselves seeking business valuations during difficult personal or business junctures. Tony thrives on working with small to medium business owners to achieve their dreams and goals. By putting people at the heart of the matter, Tony helps clients articulate the true value of their business, going beyond the numbers to who they hire, the processes and systems in place and the environment they operate.
Tony’s business valuation reports are considered as technically robust and providing comprehensive data and information for professional sector advisers while also easily understood by those outside the accounting profession.
“Both Tony and Gemma add great value to our team. Their appointments, particularly during this very challenging year, are reflective of their individual abilities, their work as part of the team and their skills in working alongside our clients to provide the right outcomes.
While many of our clients have lived and managed their way through many issues, this year has provided a unique challenge that has required additional levels support. Gemma and Tony have been integral in the firm’s ability to flex and be proactive and their appointments are reflective of the great commitment they have to their profession and the outcomes of Lambourne Partners clients.”
