Your business may be eligible for a new $1,500 rebate from the NSW Government.
To further support businesses in NSW in the recovery from the impacts of COVID-19, the NSW Government has introduced a Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate.
Eligible businesses can apply for the rebate of $1,500, which can then be drawn down through to 30 June 2022 to offset the cost of government fees and charges to their business.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this rebate, your business must:
- Have total wages below the NSW Government 2020-21 payroll tax threshold of $1.2M (i.e. aren’t liable for payroll tax)
- Have a turnover of at least $75,000 per year
- Have an ABN and are registered for GST.
Eligible business can only claim for government fees and charges due and paid from 1 March 2021, with applicable fees and charges including:
- Local council rates
- Food authority licences
- Liquor licences
- Tradesperson licences
- Event fees.
