On Friday the 28th of November, we held the 14th annual Lambourne Partners Charity Golf Day at the Newcastle Golf Club. The event has raised $240,000 for local charities since 2011.
This year our selected charity was Emmas Warriors. Emma’s Warriors is dedicated to making life a little easier for children and families undergoing treatment or recovering from serious illness. All funds raised go towards supplying Virtual Reality rehabilitation scholarships for children to complete 12 months of VR rehab while recovering from cancer treatment and its awful side effects often referred to as “Chemo Brain”.
This Year We Raised $30,000 For Emma’s Warriors
Alex Walsh (Emma’s mother) was profoundly touched by the generosity of everyone who attended the golf day.
“This donation will assist us in supporting so many families’ and their children who are undergoing treatment and recovering from serious illness. To be able to provide more scholarships for VR rehab to assist in the recovery from cancer treatment, brain injury or long-term illness is truly amazing. We are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you”
